First Lady Earnestine Kemp

First Lady Earnestine KempFirst Lady Earnestine Kemp is a native of Jefferson County, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of the late Deacon Moses and Matilda Gilmore and the daughter of the late Ms. Dorothy Jordan. She attended and graduated from the public school system in Jefferson County. She then attended Swainsboro Technical College and Georgia Military College. She retired on November 30, 2012 after 40 years of service from the Jefferson County School System where she was employed at the Board of Education office. Lady Kemp joined the Brinson Hill Missionary Baptist Church at the age of six. She has a passion for working with the youth in the church and encouraging them. She enjoys teaching Sunday school and Youth Bible Study. She's committed to serve in any area that needs her assistance. Lady Kemp is a multi-faceted woman who puts God first, others second and herself last. Her spiritual gifts are faith, encouragement, and discernment. She is the mother of two sons, David Jr. and Corey Lamont; and the spiritual mother of many others. Her pride and joy are her six grandchildren which call her "Grannie". She serves on the Board of Jefferson County Department of Family and Children Services. Lady Kemp works diligently beside her husband of 43 years; the Reverend Dr. David Kemp, Sr. at Brinson Hill and Antioch Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Churches. Her motto is "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
